Q: What does Rainbow Predictor do?
A: It detects when and where a rainbow is likely to appear by analyzing weather radar and sun position. These are the variables most likely to predict the appearance of a rainbow.
Q: Why didn’t I get a rainbow alert today?
A: Rainbow conditions are specific — we only notify when clearing rain and sun angles align. It may not have occurred in your area. The variables the app measures are not a perfect predictor of rainbows.
Q: How do I simulate rainbow conditions?
A: Open the app and toggle “Simulate Rainbow Conditions” to preview how alerts and the compass view work. This feature is currently for testing and may eventually be disabled in the live app to avoid confusion.
Rainbow Predictor does not collect or store your personal data. Location access is used only on your device to determine weather and sun position near you.
